It always starts the same way. It’s the beginning of the month, you’ve got so much time. Then all of a sudden that time vanishes and the deadline is tomorrow. Sound familiar? We’ve all been there. So, how can you stop deadline panic?
Other than making sure you’ve noted all deadlines down correctly, planning your time is key. If a deadline is too ambitious, no amount of organization or hard work will help.
Knowing what you can realistically get done over a period of time before setting a deadline will help give clients realistic expectations and save you from being eaten by your panicked co-workers. I’d call that a win-win.
