Looking for great books to help advance your career? Do you want help transforming into a productivity machine? Well then look further my friend, because these books will probably not help. But if you want a little bad advice, look no further\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n

\"Bad<\/figure>\n\n\n

This comic was created by\u00a0Elizabeth\u00a0Pich, half of the talent behind\u00a0War and Peas<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Although it can be fun to offer bad career advice (please see above), good advice can be preferable on occasion. We\u2019re always on the lookout for tips and tricks that\u2019ll help make work more efficient and enjoyable.<\/p>\n

Since we\u2019re a fully remote company and most of us work from home, we think a lot about how to maintain efficiency in an environment that offers up a multitude of distractions. We\u2019ve found there are 5 nearly\u00a0universal things that\u00a0help maintain and even\u00a0improve\u00a0efficiency when we work from home<\/a>:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Setting up a routine<\/li>\n
  2. Making use of no distractions<\/li>\n
  3. Setting boundaries<\/li>\n
  4. Finishing your work with an idea of what comes next<\/li>\n
  5. Don\u2019t\u00a0disconnect from your team.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    If you don\u2019t understand the rules of working from home, your productivity will slip into chaos very, very quickly.\u00a0<\/strong>Take\u00a0this example:\u00a0a while ago we had Ian Wright do a guest post on how and why his first home business failed. The list of what went wrong is long, but does have a clear common theme \u2013 the home business failed because of his lack of distinction between work and domestic spaces.<\/p>\n

    Career advice is great but what about more comics?<\/h2>\n

    If you\u2019re a frequent traveler, you may want to check out our guide to using lifehacking (aka common sense) to make your\u00a0airport experience 250% more pleasant<\/a>. We\u2019ve also used dinosaurs to explain the\u00a0different issues freelancers deal with when working with clients.<\/p>\n
