our&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/toggl.com\/track\/timesheet-templates\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">timesheet templates<\/a>&nbsp;are solid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But I\u2019ve chatted with a few businesses that use spreadsheets to track time \u2013 and they&nbsp;<em>always<\/em>&nbsp;say how chaotic they are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Files get copied.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Some go \u201cmissing.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Formulas are unintentionally edited.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>People don\u2019t tend to fill them in all that much.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You\u2019re unable to quickly get insights you can leverage (more on this later).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You also have to remember that employees tend to hate time tracking in general. So using a spreadsheet to track their time may not be the best approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Time tracking software \u2013 the best alternative<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/toggl.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Time tracking software<\/a>&nbsp;is the best for keeping track of hours worked \u2013 especially for teams that work on client projects and tasks all day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unlike spreadsheets, many of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/toggl.com\/blog\/best-time-tracking-apps\">best time tracking apps<\/a>&nbsp;come with features that help to automate and streamline the entire time tracking process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Again, Google is your best friend here.
