Time tracking is what we’re famous for, but we actually do a lot more than that here at Toggl.
Like many of the best tools out there, our products at Toggl emerged from personal experience and internal needs:
🕜 We needed better insight into how time was spent and the results it generated — so we built Toggl Track
📅 We needed better capacity planning and project management for a globally distributed team — so we built Toggl Plan
🤝 We needed a better way to recruit and assess top talent. A way to focus on skills and ability over traditional CVs — so we built Toggl Hire
We’ve grown and matured as a business in the last 10 years and learned a ton from building these products. Some of our best learnings haven’t just come from building products. They’ve been how to work together productively, how to hire good the best people, and of course… taking lessons from the mistakes we’ve made along the way.
That’s why we’re excited to announce the launch of On The Clock: a biweekly newsletter sharing opinions and advice on the world of work — and the way it should be.
We’ll be sharing our knowledge (and slightly spicy opinions) about:
- The changing expectations of a new workforce
- Why data is so important when building a company
- Achieving profitability with a dispersed team
- Guiding growing businesses through uncertain times
- The latest trends around productivity and hiring
These insights will put together by Toggl’s content team and sent out as On The Clock, twice a month.
So, meet your On The Clock authors: Kimberlee Meier and Elizabeth Thorn, content marketing specialists who craft a lot of the stories you read over at Toggl.

They’ll draw knowledge from internal experts, People Ops leaders, and product gurus who have helped build Toggl from the ground up. Our goal is to challenge businesses to think differently about how to make work environments more people-focused — and achieve higher levels of productivity and profitability in the process.
Subscribe to On The Clock 🕝 and get these snackable insights delivered straight to your inbox every other Thursday 👇
