Announcing the new Toggl Track Reports API, v3

Lucas Aguiar Lucas Aguiar Last Updated:

We just published user-facing documentation for the latest version of the Toggl Track Reports API — v3. Say hello to better documentation and active support.

What’s changed?

  • We now have an overview and authentication page at https://developers.track.toggl.com/docs/reports_start.
  • Insights endpoints are now exposed, meaning that you can now create reports with data trends, project profitability and employee profitability from the API.
  • The Detailed Report endpoint can group similar time entries, meaning that you can treat time entries that share the same details (date, description, task, project, client, tags, etc.) as a single time entry in your API reporting.

What do I have to do?

We’re phasing out v2 by the end of June 2023.

To ensure that your API-based reporting continues to work smoothly, switch from v2 to v3 by June 30, 2023. But we recommend you get starter earlier.

We’ve been getting some early feedback and it’s been helping us improve, so give it a try and let us know what you think! Get in touch at support@track.toggl.com.
